Why Sponsor MADD Long Island?

Your financial support is vital to advancing our mission to eliminate drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.

• We're more than you may think we are. Yes, we're mothers but we are also fathers, sons, daughters, friends, relatives and neighbors looking out for each other and you.
• MADD's logo has a 98% recognition rate.
• Four out of five adults (78%) have heard of MADD's good works.
• One in Three people will be affected by a drunk driver at some point in their life.

How are the funds used?

• 76% - Community programs and services, including:
• Provides victim services to those affected by Drunk Drivers
• Supports MADD's Campaign to eliminate drunk driving
• Promotes state and local legislative initiatives
• Conduct education and awareness programs for schools and community
• 7% - Management and operating costs
• 14% - To secure additional fundraising

Does MADD accept funds from the alcohol industry?

MADD does NOT accept any funds or in-kind donations from the alcohol industry nor from any business that makes more than half of their revenue from alcohol-related products.

• Walk Like MADD 5k Event: May event with sponsorship deadline in April.
• Annual Law Enforcement Recognition Luncheon: March event with sponsorship deadline in February.
• Building A Better Tomorrow Bi-Annual Appeal (2x per year): The November Mailing sponsorship deadline is in October. The May Mailing sponsor deadline is in April.
• Community Awareness Campaign: Car window clings, lawn signs and other messaging media. Sponsor deadline in August.
• Garden of Awareness - Sponsor opportunities year round.
• Victim Vigil (low-profile sponsorship) - December event with November sponsor deadline.
